PCLinuxOS Family Member Spotlight: Corazon

As told to YouCanToo

What is your name/username?
Corazon

How old are you?
I'm almost old enough to know better.

Are you married, single, kids, grandkids?
I have been blessed to be part of a traditional Christian family, and enjoy the fruit that is typical in that scenario.

Do you have pets, what is your favorite?
Blue Jays, Flickers, Thrushes, Crows, and Squirrels, and RIP the old hound who loved to chase them.

Are you retired, still working and if working, what do you do?
I keep busy composing music. Retirement will never be an option.

Where do you call home? What is it like? IE: weather, scenery
I'm between Boston and Honolulu, where there are four seasons, spectacular scenery, and the little extra work that comes with the territory.

Where did you go to school and what is your education level?
My education began, when my public schooling ended. I now believe property tax funded education should end at grade 8, and high school should be paid for by the students who want to learn, exactly like college: tuition, books, lab and facilities fees etc. sans the ridiculous student loan fiasco...

Those who don't want it bad enough to pay, will be no less helpless than if they had partied their way through at taxpayer expense. (Yeah, I'm lookin' in the great revelatory mirror of retrospect, when I say that...)

What kind of things you like doing? hobbies, travel, fishing, camping?
In the process of realizing God's grace, I have known the greatest people, seen the most beautiful places, heard the most wonderful sounds, smelled and tasted amazing food and drink, survived dangers, solved mysteries, been shown my many errors, (repeatedly) and on good days, been willing to help. None of which I deserve, or earned, and for which I am very very thankful.

Why and when did you start using Linux?
I saw a screenshot of Enlightenment in an Amiga magazine, and was hooked. I grabbed boxed sets of Caldera, Suse, Corel, Red Hat, and Mandrake, at local bookstores. Good times!

Thanks to the E devs, OnlyHuman, Jeff Hoogland, runtt21, Texstar, the PCLinuxOS community, and many more, I'm still using a variety of Enlightened Linuxi all these weeks and months later! And thanks for the years of PCLinuxOS Magazines, a trove to peruse, as the tools, tasks, and hardware are ever changing.

Cheers
